Preparing for your visit to the ENT Specialist? Have no fear, there are ways to be prepared. We’ve put together this checklist so that you can feel comfortable and confident going into your next appointment. Depending on the nature of your visit, the checklist can change, however generally these are things to think about when you plan to visit your ENT specialist.

Preparing ahead will not only give you peace of mind, but it will also aide in the process of information needed when you get to the doctor’s office. Dr. Brandeisky is happy to help and with your added assistance your visit with him will be smooth sailing. In conjunction with this checklist, take a look at our resources page to see which forms you may need to fill out in advance.

During Your Appointment

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, physically explaining your symptoms, health history and any previous problems with medication is important during your visit with your ENT specialist. Make sure that sure that you understand the treatments and medication requests that your doctor gives you and make your concerns known. Should it be necessary for you to receive a test, ask about the associated aspects of the test (how does it get done, how does it feel, how can I prepared, when will I get results?). Be sure you are clear about any medications you’ll be taking and ask if you can bring any literature home with you. The doctor may have some brochures available for your information.Want to learn more about Otolaryngology? Check out this article. Should you have any other questions, feel free to contact us! Follow Dr. Brandeisky on Facebook and Twitter for ongoing updates.
